I think it would be hard to find a better accommodation in the Colmenar area with such ambiance and views. We found the location very suitable for day trips to Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, etc. Also, had one of our better meals of our entire trip at La Taberna de Flores in Colmenar.

A beautiful house. The view was amazing. The only small problem was finding a taxi that would come to the house because they did not understand the address, but with a little explanation they found it..! Carmen was amazing and gave us tips & responded quickly if we had any questions. We had an amazing & unforgettable trip 🙂

We trust Carmen a lot because for 5 years we spent our vacations in her beautiful house Lagar los Pilones (the best house we have known in 15 years traveling to Andalucia) .That is why, this last summer I wanted, unexpectedly, to extend my vacation and she offered me his newly opened house What to say about this House? The photos simply cannot do this incredible setting justice., On clear days you can see the sea, while at night time the lights from the coastal town of Velez Malaga shine bright in the distance. You can expect amazing morning lighting and ambience thanks to its privileged south east position. we witnessed some of the best sunrises we had ever seen! There are several terraces each having spectacular views and we'd alternate between them for mealtimes, sunset drinks and stargazing.We particularly liked the large pergola which offers the perfect amount of shade for outdoor meals and often used the a magnifica BBQ WEBER to make dinner (stopping at the supermarket for supplies on the way from Malaga airport is a good idea even if you find supermarkets near the house). There are lots of places in the sun and shade, whatever your preference. The house stayed nice and cool inside despite it being 35 degrees plus outside. Inside, Carmen has printed her style. The villa has 4 bedrooms and a large living room. All elegantly furnished and comfortable. In regards to privacy, even though you can spot other villas on the distant hillside, your location remains nicely secluded and quiet, which means you should not be overlooked. It's a place to truly relax, but close enough to the crowded beaches and resorts for day trips. We visited the beaches at Marbella and Nerja and Málaga, as well as heading to Granada one day to see the Alhambra which was definitely worth the 1 hour round trip. The villa is located in the mountains just north of Malaga city (25 minutes) and 7 minutes from the village of Colmenar, an authentic white-washed Spanish village. Here we have made our purchases. The local sausages are really good. There are many bars and restaurants. We loved La Taberna de Flores, in the center of town and dinner on the terrace of the Belen Restaurant. Here the food is authentic Spanish and the daily menu prices are very cheap.

Excellent villa with the most amazing views over the mountains and to the sea. The villa is a perfect place for peaceful retreat and at the same time a great location from which to explore Malaga and the region. In late October the pool was refreshing and enjoyable for the full family. Shopping is convenient in the stores in nearby village Colmenar where the Churrería opens in the morning for local breakfast. Carmen is an excellent host being incredibly helpful and attentive, communicating fast and timely in perfect English. All in all, our highest recommendations given.

We were 2 families of 4 to spend a week at Carmen's place. The house was perfect for us! it is big and quiet with the most amazing view. As we were there in April it was too cold to swin, but we can easily imagine that in summer you would enjoy the pool and the breeze of the mountains. Communication with Carmen was super smooth and she answered all our questions in less then 5 minutes each time. we do recommand the house for those who wants to visit the region, it is very well located.

This was a great house with a large comfortable terrace and an incredibly beautiful view. The quiet environment is very relaxing. Carmen always answered our questions promptly and even sent the children's shoes that we had forgotten there by post.

Carmen is a great host. When the AC did not work, she bought a new and got it installed. Always available and helpful.

This is a house with spectacular view for sunsets and sunrises. It is at 850m height and therefore it is slightly colder than in the cities down. It has lots of areas to relax and is very cosy. Thumbs up for the extra fridge for the drinks! We haven't met Carmen but she was responsive to all our questions.

Fantastic location !!! The views are spectacular, the house incredibly well appointed, comfortable with everything you could want. Outdoor spaces, lovely terraces. The house was immaculate throughout. The pool was bright and inviting, it was bigger than we expected. The nearest town, Colmenar, was a charming little place where we enjoyed good meals and the occasional morning coffee. There is a small churros stand every morning if you like a traditional breakfast. The villa is only 35 minutes from Malaga airport, which was great for us as we had some guest exchanges at midnight. It is a perfect place to relax and spend the day and night with friends in a splendid house with spectacular scenery. Finally, the owner of the villa was extremely welcoming and helpful, which made our stay that little bit more special. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough!

We had a wonderful stay at the house which have a very beautiful view located in the mountains with no close neighbors nearby, so we felt all alone. Quick, friendly and easy communication with Carmen.
